What to Expect at South City Church
Visiting a church for the first time can feel like a big step. We understand that.
At South City Church, our heart is to create a space where people feel welcome, relaxed, and able to explore faith at their own pace.
What our Sunday meeting is like?
Our gatherings are simple, unhurried, and focused on helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus.
We meet every Sunday from 2pm - 3:30pm at Hounsom Memorial, Hove
What is the Atmosphere like?
We're a friendly and informal church.
People chat, laugh, pray together, and genuinely care for one another. We're a mix of ages, from children to older adults, and we value being a church family
where people are known.
You don't need to have everything figured out. You're welcome just as you are.
What Should I Wear?
There's no dress code.
Most people come dressed casually, so feel free to wear whatever you're comfortable in.
What about Children?
Children are an important part of our church family.
We aim to create a safe and welcoming environment where children can learn, grow, and emjoy being part of church. There are activities available for younger children during the service.
If you're visiting with children, someone will happily help you get settled.
After the Service
Many people stay after the service for tea, coffee, and conversation.
It's a great opportunity to meet others, ask questions, and begin to feel part of the community.
There's no pressure. You're free to stay or head off as you prefer.
Do I need to be a Christian?
Not at all.
Many people come who are exploring faith, asking questions, or simply curious about church.
You're very welcome to come and see what it's all about.
